Code Format

(airline code).(aircraft code).(registration code).(livery code).[N(nickname number)]

Airline code = ICAO Airline Code

Aircraft code = ICAO Aircraft Type Designator

Registration code = The number that the livery is assigned to in the database

Livery code = Airline Livery Code

Nickname number = Number of nickname that the aircraft has used (NOT ALL reference codes will have this)


Example: BAW.B741.2.3.1.N1 = British Airways, Boeing 747-100, G-AWNB, Landor Livery, City of Newcastle (the first nickname it [AWNB] had with the Landor Livery)

The registration code may contain:

FL = Fictional Livery. The livery design is entirely fictional.

FF = Fictional Fleet - The livery represents a real airline but has not been applied to the actual aircraft.

FA = Fictional Airline - The livery and airline depicted are both fictional.

FAL = Fictional Airline Livery - The livery design is fictional but represents a real airline.


Example: SU.A225.FF1.1 = Aeroflot, Antonov AN-225, RA-75525 (FF = real airline but the AN-225 was never operated by Aeroflot), Grey Livery
